A few days after the ban of PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite, the Indian gaming
community finally has some good news.
As stated on its official website, PUBG Corporation has revoked the publication rights of
Tencent Games for the two mentioned titles in India.
The Korean-based company will now carry out all development duties for the Indian
version. We all know that PUBG Mobile is popular in India. The love and support of sportsmen, both amateur and professional, is led by PUBG Corporation.
Last week, the Indian government released a ban on PUBG Mobile, PUBG Mobile Lite
and 116 other Chinese apps. India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology
states that the ban was meant to protect the privacy and security of user data
The PUBG Mobile Corporation has finally decided to revoke Tencent Games' authorization to manage PUBG Mobile in India.
PUBG Corporation said in its official announcement that it "respects this decision taken by the government and agrees with the government as player data and privacy and
security is a top priority for the company." With the removal of Tencent Games, a Chinese-owned company, PUBG Corp. Hopes to work with the Government of India to
find a solution.So far, PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite have been removed from
both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The ban has not yet been lifted. For
the time being, we can only cross our fingers and hope that the Government of India and
PUBG Corp can agree on a middle-ground that is beneficial to both parties. The ban can
be effective for more than a month, if not permanent. But it offers a glimpse of hope for Indian PUBG Mobile fans
